FOA Certification

The FOA is an international non-profit educational organization that is chartered to promote professionalism in fiber optics through education, certification and standards. Founded in 1995 by a dozen prominent fiber optics trainers and industry personnel as a professional society for fiber optics and a source of independent certification, the FOA has grown to now being involved in numerous activities to educate the world about fiber optics and certify the workers who design, build and operate the world's fiber optic networks. 

FOA (Fiber Optic Association) with its headquarters in USA is the international professional society of fiber optics. FOA is chartered to promote fiber optics through education, certification and standards. The FOA has certified about 60,000 CFOTs (Certified Fiber Optic Technicians) through over 250 approved training organizations in 40 countries worldwide.

Nigeria is one of the 40 countries with IMT Lagos as one of the 250 approved centers

As a furtherance of FOA objective, we at IMT are writing to seek for collaboration in the areas of training and certifications in all our FOA Approved courses which are CFOT: Certified fiber optic technician and CFOS: Certified fiber Optic Specialist (CFOS/D…specialist in Design, CFOS/H…Specialist in FTTH, CFOS/O…Specialist in OSP, CFOS/T…Specialist in testing etc)
